Welch, Spring & Co., Forestville, Conn., "Gale Drop Calendar No. 2" astronomical wall clock, 8 days, time and perpetual calendar, spring driven movement in a rosewood case with grained bezel, papered metal dial and Drop No. 1 style reverse painted lower tablet, c1875
CONDITION:
the case retains its original finish and gold leaf framing surrounding lower tablet. The dial has been repapered. The lower tablet appears to be original but is in the style of the Drop No. 1 rather than the Drop No. 2 as pictured in Tran Duy Ly's "Calendar Clocks", pages 49 - 56. Ht 29 1/2"
